The Midnight Library

 Maybe book spoilers ~

I was reading the Midnight Library and I remember being hesitant to read it because of all the bad reviews. There are a lot of people that hate the book and now that I'm more than half way through, I really don't understand. I feel like a lot of people expect books to be this perfect amazing literature and they can't just read a good story and be satisfied. Like yes this might not be everyone's cup of tea for many reasons but for so many people to hate it and say it's not interesting or good is crazy. I don't know if it's just because I'm in such a weird part of my life but this book has had so many relatable moments. The way some of these philosophical concepts are written and  described just gives me so much stuff to think about.

Also, nerd moment but the talk about quantum physics and quantum superposition is literally right up my alley. I used to TA physical chemistry during my undergraduate degree because I loved it so much. This idea of two things being true at the same time, like life and death, until it is observed. And on a further level, your reality and multiple others are true at the same time, they are happening now and have already happened. The choices you are scared to make have already been made in a different reality and you are actively living that outcome as you live now. It is a really cool concept that is crazy to think about. We only really know what we observe so we have to assume everything is happening until we observe the reality of it.

Anyways, I think The book is interesting despite what others have said about it. I'm going to go finish it now while I drink coffee; iced Americano is my favorite :)
